Apology Poem

I'm sorry I pushed you in the pool last night
I wouldn't have done it if it didn't seem like such a great opportunity
You, just standing by the edge of the pool, so close that the tips of your shoes were wet
Wearing that baggy sweatshirt just waiting to be filled up with water
Me, Knowing that you were right in the line of vision of the guy you were staring at all night
For that brief moment, a few minutes of my extreme amusement outweighed a few hours of your discomfort
And I admit, it didn't slip my mind that you had no change of clothes
But my apology is nevertheless sincere
