My life is a net, and everyone I meet is a fish
The little fish pass through the net with ease
They do not look back at me once they've passed
If they even notice me
And I do not look back at them once they've passed
If I even notice them
But the big fish remain in the net for awhile
They are a silver treasure that I never want to give up
But there are rips in the net
And they always find one
They pass through as easily as the little fish did
Watching them swim away is like hacking off a foot
Not only does it hurt, but you know you are missing something important
Crying is a relief
The tears blur my vision and I cannot see how far away they really are
But I turn around and await more fish
Though I know it's impossible to keep all the big fish
I will never stop fishing
Because someday I'd like to keep one

I really like how the whole peom is a metaphor comparing the people around you to fish. I like how you added the part about "hacking off a foot". It gives the poem more feeling. Great job! I like this poem a lot.
Uh, wow... i'm pretty much in love with this poem. The metaphor is so strong, its awesome! really... fantastic job!
